    I am on my first bottle so haven’t been using it long enough to notice if I feel different. I don’t have a lot of aches and pains so I’m not taking it for that reason anyway.     I bought this because of the claimed benefits for heart patients. My wife, age 80 and active in her garden, has recently had heart issues including palpitations and shortness of breath. So we beefed up her supplements with Ubiquinol, taurine powder, magnesium, malic acid, and Astaxanthin, I'm thankful to say she has been getting progressively better week by week...the change has been quite dramatic and we are grateful to God for that.     I purchased this product on the advice of a friend and I'm glad I did! I've been using it for a number of weeks and I do feel that it makes a positive difference. The main thing for me was whether it helped with some arthritis that I have in my knees.     Astaxanthin by Simply Potent seems to work quite well. I can't attest to pain relief and sun protection, but as an antioxidant, it certainly works. Each time I have some symptoms of cold, or simply low energy, or discomfort, I take one gel and all symptoms disappear within 30 minutes. 10 mg seems to be a good dose, not too big to cause side effects, but strong enough to be effective. I used to take astaxanthin by a different manufacturer and once in a while had an allergic skin reaction, even though the dose was just 4 mg. This one never gave me any allergy. I like taking it at night, and vitamin C and E in the morning. As a result, all viruses stay away from me :)

    I purchased this mainly for my husband who is allergic to the UV rays and has severe reactions. The areas on his face most affected turned black and looked scared.     I buy astaxanthin for one reason only and that is to provide sun protection and color during the summer. Since reading long ago, that astaxanthin is fed to flamingos in the zoo to provide color as a substitute for tons of shrimp, and noticing it is a primary ingredient in many tanning pills, I tried it. I begin taking it in late spring, each year, continue through the summers, and stop again in the fall when I have little sun or skin exposure and am happy remaining winter white. This brand of astaxanthin provides the same, if not better, “browning up” of my skin after minimal Sun exposure than the more expensive brands. I don’t notice the effects of pain relief or antioxidant properties, so cannot speak to that. It’s definitely potent for assisting with minor skin coloration. Recommend.
